CONDOR Tool & Knife

Condor Tool & Knife traces its proud lineage back to 1787, the year when the Gebrüder Weyersberg Company was founded in Solingen, Germany.

Solingen, Germany became the cutlery capital of the world due to the quality of the swords, military knives, agricultural tools and household cutlery manufactured there. Over the generations, the world’s largest manufacturer of swords and knives expanded operations to other countries to better serve its customers.

In 1964, the company formed Imacasa with a new plant in Santa Ana, El Salvador and outfitted it with state of the art German equipment. Some of the original local employees who were sent to Solingen for extensive training forty years ago are still working in the factory today, turning out heavy duty machetes, shovels, and other hand tools.

Imacasa’s Central American operations were sold in the 1980’s to local investors, and today, Imacasa is one of the largest machete and shovel manufacturers in the world operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

In 2004, Imacasa developed a high quality line of tools and knives for the North American and European outdoor markets, which was named Condor Tool & Knife. With a focus on sturdy high carbon steel blades, tools like the Condor Bushlore Knife have become popular with many outdoor enthusiasts. We are proud to carry a variety of great Condor knives for our customers.
