Now this is a knife! The 440C means I can use this blade anywhere. In the mountains of Georgia or the humid region of Florida. It's really nice having a stainless blade crafted from a company we all trust. Although the blade must be cared for, not as much as 1095. Easy to sharpen and great blade retention. The orange handles are a plus. Hard to lose that color. Simpy a great alternative to 1095.
