Description

The Great Eastern Cutlery GEC #H23416 Upland Hunter is a traditionally styled hunting knife featuring a Trapper styled handle. The 4.125" blade is great for medium, large and very large game such as moose. The blade profile of this knife allows it to be very efficient when field dressing game and also for skinning. This is an heirloom quality knife that will provide years of dependable service. Made with pride in Titusville, PA. We are an authorized Great Eastern Cutlery Dealer and purchased this new knife direct from them.

The Blade:

The flat ground, up-swept blade is made from 1095 carbon steel and has a 3.5" cutting edge. The spine is chamfered on both sides to allow the blade to more easily slice through flesh with less drag. It is .125" thick and features a distal taper. The blade shape provides a place for your index finger when field dressing game and also allows for a more pointed tip for doing puncturing cuts. The blade has a satin finish with "PRACTICAL KNIVES" and the GEC Shield logo etched on it.

The Handle Construction:

The H23416 Upland Hunter features full exposed tang construction. The handle is 4.5" long and the scales are OD Green Canvas Micarta with a nickel silver Acorn Inlay on the left side. The attaching pins are brass as are the liners. The bolster is polished nickel silver.

A heavy duty, leather pouch style belt sheath with a top flap is included.
