The Blade(s):
This #43 Oregon Pattern pocket knife features a large clip point blade made from 1095 steel and it has a satin finish. The blade has a cutting edge of 3.125", a nail nick for opening and features a half stop position. There is a circle with three "P" letters inside the circle which stands for "Pattern Production Premier" on the right side of the blade since the Tidioute run is the first run for the #43 pattern. The left side of the blade features a graphic of a beaver and the words "BEAVER TAIL".
The Handle Construction:
The handle length is 4.187" and provides a solid four finger hold. A polished Nickel Silver Bolster adorns the handle. The knifes great looks is accented by a Nickel Silver Inlay Shield in the shape of a beaver. The handle scales are Jigged Brazilian Cherry wood and the liners and pins are brass. There is a brass lanyard tube in the handle/frame. The handle scale edges are rounded and flush with the outside perimeter making the knife more comfortable to hold.
