The Blade(s):
This #56 Bird Dog (Dog Leg Jack) pocket knife has a larger Spear Point blade and a smaller pen blade. Both blades are 1095 steel and have a satin finish. The larger blade has a cutting edge of 2.31" with the Pen blade being 1.5". Both blades have a nail nick for opening and do not have a half stop position. The larger blade has "BIRD DOG" etched on it and a graphic showing a Bird Dog flushing a pheasant.
The Handle Construction:
The handle length is 3.5" and provides a solid four finger hold for most people. A Nickel Silver Bolster and Nickel Silver End Cap adorn each end of the handle frame. The knifes great looks is accented by a "Bomb" Nickel Silver Inlay Shield. The handle scales are Mustard Jigged Bone and the liners and pins are brass. The handle scale edges are rounded and flush with the outside perimeter making the knife more comfortable to hold.
