Description
The Great Eastern Cutlery Tidioute #82 Dixie Possum Skinner slip-joint pocket knife is truly a classic in every sense of the word. This two blade pocket knife provides you with options for a variety of cutting needs. This version is produced on a larger frame and the handle is long enough to provide a four finger hold for most people. The shape of the knife with its slim profile and rounded ends allow the knife to ride in your pocket nicely and be retrieved very easily. This finely crafted pocket knife is a winner in every respect! Made with pride in Titusville, PA. We are an authorized Great Eastern Cutlery Dealer and purchased this new knife direct from them.
The Blade(s):
This knife features two blades, Muskrat Clip and Wharncliffe. The cutting edges are 2.75" and 2.25" respectively. The 1095 Carbon Steel blades have a satin finish. There is no half stop position. The blades deploy very smoothly and each one has a nail nick to facilitate opening. The blades are on oposite ends of the knife.
The Handle Construction:
The handle scales are Natural Canvas Micarta and the attaching pins and liners are brass. The bolsters and Hotdog shield inlay are brushed nickel silver. The handle scales are nicely shaped and are flush with the outside perimeter making the knife comfortable to hold. The fit and finish are excellent and the blade action is smooth with solid "parking" when deployed.
