The simple design, which features a drop point blade, makes it handy for cutting tie-down rope, slicing meat or many other light to medium-sized camp chores. It also works well as a hunting knife for large-sized game animals and as a general purpose bushcraft knife. The Maverick Scout features a long handle for those with larger hands and allows for a better grip when wearing gloves. This knife is a solid perfomer that will not "break the bank" when you buy it!
This knife features O-1 tool steel which is an excellent quality cutlery grade steel with very high carbon content. O-1 tool steel will take a very keen edge, is abrasive resistant and tough which makes this an excellent knife for aggresive users.
