Description

The L. T. Wright Handcrafted Knives Woodland Trail knife is a premium knife designed for discriminating users who demand the finest. The L. T. Wright Handcrafted Knives Woodland Trail is a collaboration effort between Dale (the designer) at theknifeconnection.com and L. T. Wright Handcrafted Knives. It is offered exclusively by theknifeconnection.com. Each knife and the accompanying sheath are hand made in the U. S. A. using the finest materials with careful attention given to each one during the building process. The Woodland Trail is a descendant of the best-selling Forest Trail knife designed by Dale at theknifeconnection.com and shares some of the same features. It makes a great companion knife for the Forest Trail knife. The compact handle size is best used by those with small to large hands. The handle shape has been specifically designed to provide the user with a firm, comfortable grip in a variety of holds and positions. The thumb/finger scallops provide the user with a better hold when using the "pinch finger" hold for side cuts and more delicate work. The Woodland Trail is nimble in the hand with great control for tasks such as skinning but it also provides a solid grip for tasks such as batoning kindling wood. The drop point blade makes the knife a great general purpose outdoor knife. It's a perfect knife for field dressing medium to large-sized game and handling small to medium bushcraft tasks such as making fuzz sticks, trap parts and tent stakes. This knife features A2 tool steel which is an excellent quality cutlery grade carbon steel. A2 tool steel will take a very keen edge, is abrasive resistant and tough which makes this an excellent knife for aggressive users. A2 steel is harder than some other carbon steels and will hold an edge longer. It also has 5% chromium added making it somewhat less susceptible to rusting compared to some other carbon steels. Whether you are field dressing a Whitetail deer in Ohio, making fuzz sticks at camp or cutting netting on a military mission, the dependable Woodland Trail knife will get the job done quickly and efficiently! A heavy duty leather dangler sheath is included. The dangler can be removed so the knife can be carried in the "high ride" position if desired.
