The GEC #99 Wall Street knife is a classy knife with many practical uses. This medium-sized folder features a dependable lockback mechanism allowing the knife to be used efficiently for a variety of tasks whether it be woodworking or general every day utility use. The Blade(s):
This knife features a single Wharncliffe style blade. "Practical Knives" is etched on the blade along with the "GEC Shield". The cutting edge is 2.7". The 440C Stainless Steel blade has a satin finish and deploys very smoothly locking with a solid click. The park spring tension holds the blade firmly in place when closed.
The Handle Construction:
The handle scales are beautiful, American Chestnut and the attaching pins and liners are brass. The three groove bolster, end cap and "Acorn" inlay are nickel silver. The handle scales are nicely shaped and are flush with the outside perimeter making the knife comfortable to hold. The fit and finish are excellent and the blade action is smooth with a solid lock-up when deployed.
