This Northfield #47 Viper knife is for those who want a tough, durable and attractive pocket knife. It offers great utility use and features Desert Ironwood handle scales. The Viper is a little under seven inches with the blade open and the blade is three inches long. It's the perfect size for most pockets and the handle will accommodate a four finger hold for most people.
Made with pride in Titusville, PA. We are an authorized Great Eastern Cutlery Dealer and purchased this new knife direct from them.
The Blade(s):
This knife features a single Wharncliffe style blade. There is a nail nick for opening. The cutting edge is 2.75". The 1095 carbon steel blade has a satin finish and features a solid half stop. The blade has "NORTHFIELD" etched on it.
The Handle Construction:
The handle scales are Desert Ironwood and the attaching pins, liners and lanyard tube are brass. The handle scale edges are rounded and flush with the outside perimeter making the knife comfortable to hold. The butt end of the handle sweeps up to balance out the design with the blade. The three groove bolster and "Bomb" shield are brushed nickel silver. The fit and finish are excellent and the blade action is crisp when opening and closing.
