Winkler Knives
Since 2004, Winkler Knives has been honored to provide Team specific knives and axes to a variety of America’s most elite fighting forces and law enforcement; however the Company’s history of producing custom manufactured cutlery, along with its origin of working with Special Operations, began long before that.
It was in 1975 that Daniel Winkler began making knives in North Carolina, and went on to become a fulltime bladesmith in 1988. Daniel earned accreditation as a Master Bladesmith from the American Bladesmith Society in 1993. As a historical enactor, his inspiration was drawn from the knives and axes of the American Frontier- a time when the tools a man carried meant sustenance and survival. This influence translated to a recognizable style that brought Winkler and his sheath-making partner Karen Shook widespread fame. Today, that same influence remains evident in the high performance tools created by Winkler Knives.
Expertly crafted Winkler Knives are used by the toughest and most respected warriors on the planet.
