This Great Eastern Cutlery, GEC #02 Letter Opener with Smooth White Bone handle is a factory second, meaning that there is an imperfection so it cannot be sold as a first quality knife. It is non-returnable and does not have a warranty... But the price is right! The imperfection could be a slight gap between a liner and a spring, a sticky blade or scales not matching perfectly with a bolster, as some examples. The blade tang is stamped with an "S" to denote that it is a factory second.
