Description
The Great Eastern Cutlery Tidioute #74 Stallion is a traditional design pocket knife and it is just waiting to occupy your pocket. It is a medium-sized pocket knife featuring a single 1095 carbon steel blade, Gabon Ebony wood handle and nickel silver bolsters. Many consider the size of the Stallion to be "just right" as it is large enough to handle tasks such as field dressing deer yet small enough to easily carry and do finer cutting tasks. It makes a great general purpose, gentleman's fine pocket knife. Made with pride in Titusville, PA. We are an authorized Great Eastern Cutlery Dealer and purchased this new knife direct from them.
The Blade(s):
The #74 Stallion features a 1095 steel, clip point blade allowing the knife to be quite versatile whether using it for piercing, slicing or utility purposes. The blade has a cutting edge of 2.75" and a nail nick for opening. The blade finish is satin. When deployed, the blade has a pronounced half stop and once past the half stop, it snaps solidly into the fully deployed position.
The Handle Construction:
The handle size allows for a solid four finger hold for most people. The handle scales are Gabon Ebony and the attaching pins and liners are brass. The bolsters and inlay shield are nickel silver giving the knife a classy look. The handle scale edges are rounded and flush with the outside perimeter making the knife pleasant to hold. The fit and finish are excellent and the blade action is crisp when opening and closing.
The picture is a stock photo and since this knife handle is made from a natural material, the appearance will vary from knife to knife.
