The Ontario RAK (Ranger Assault Knife) is a unique very well made knife, and is part of the Ranger series. The 3/16" thick 1095 Carbon Steel blade features a Saber grind rather than a flat grind and offers the user a generously large choil making it great for small delicate tasks like fuzz stick making. The pointed glass breaker pommel works very well on car windows and for other emergency evacuation tasks.
The thumb jimping is aggressive and offers excellent traction. This knife is balanced to be a good chopper. The 1095 steel is durable, and hits the sweet spot for edge retention and ease of sharpening.
