The GEC #82 Dixie Stockman slip-joint pocket knife is truly a classic in every sense of the word. This three blade pocket knife provides you with options for a variety of cutting needs. This version is produced on a larger frame and the handle is long enough to provide a four finger hold for most people. The shape of the knife and the rounded ends still allow the knife to ride in your pocket and be retrieved very nicely. This finely crafted pocket knife is a winner in every respect! Made with pride in Titusville, PA. We are an authorized Great Eastern Cutlery Dealer and purchased this new knife direct from them.
This knife features three blades, Muskrat Clip, Wharncliffe and Spey. The cutting edges are 2.75", 2.25" and 2" respectively. The 1095 Carbon Steel blades have a satin finish. There is no half stop position. The blades deploy very smoothly and each one has a nail nick to facilitate opening. The Muskrat Clip and Wharncliffe blades are on one end of the knife and the Spey blade on the opposite end.
The Handle Construction:
The handle scales are Copphead Jigged Bone and the attaching pins and liners are brass. The bolsters and Hounds Tooth shield inlay are polished nickel silver. There is a cutout on the side of the knife to accomodate using the nail nick on the Spey blade. The handle scales are nicely shaped and are flush with the outside perimeter making the knife comfortable to hold. The fit and finish are excellent and the blade action is smooth with solid "parking" when deployed.
