Here at The Knife Connection, we are dedicated to offering our customers the best knives and outdoor gear. With an incredible selection and the help of our amazing customers, we have grown into one of the largest knife distributors in the country. For over a decade, our growth has meant that we have been able to offer a greater variety of products and some products that can only be found here at The Knife Connection. Our custom knife handles are one example of a product that we are now able to offer our customers.

We manufacture our handles under our Architect brand to fit a number of different popular knife models. On our site, you will find handles that have been designed to perfectly fit some of the knives that we carry from ESEE Knives, Ontario Knife Company, and Becker Knife & Tool. Our handles are easy to install and are a great way to give one of your favorite knives the look and feel that you are after. If you have any ESEE, OKC, or Becker knives that need a refresh, be sure to visit the custom knife handle section of our store. We even have handles for the ESEE Candiru, a popular little knife that is sold with a skeletonized handle that lacks scales.

Most of our Architect knife handles are created from G10 handle material. This material is a high pressure laminate made from layers of fiberglass and epoxy resin. The materials are layered and cured under pressure to remove any air bubbles and increase the final strength of the handle scales. G10 material was originally designed to be a strong, inert, and heat resistant substrate for printed circuit boards, but it has become popular with knife makers because it is strong, water resistant, and shatter resistant.

In addition to G10, we also make handles from micarta. Like G10, micarta is a laminated material. Instead of using fiberglass, micarta can be made using a wide range of materials including fabric and paper. The end result can be similar in appearance and quality to G10. Some users prefer micarta due to its ability to give the final handle scales a unique look and feel when made with fibrous materials like burlap.

All of our custom knife handles are precision machined using computer numerical control milling machines. CNC milling is perfect for producing precisely manufactured custom parts in a variety of different shapes and sizes, making them perfect for shaping handle scales quickly and easily. All of the handles we built are designed to be a perfect fit for the knife models for which they correspond.

Once you get your new handle scales, all you have to do is remove the old hardware, replace the handle scales, and then secure them with the included mounting hardware. The entire process should only take a few minutes; you can easily give your knife a nice refresh in no time.

You can also get a knife with our custom knife handle scales already installed by using our Custom Knife Builder. This proprietary tool is something we are excited to offer our customers. It lets you choose between popular knife models from ESEE Knives, the Ontario Knife Company, and most recently our own Architect Knife line, which will be seeing new model additions in the coming months. Once you know which knife you want to build, the process is easy.

The first option will be to choose the blade of your knife. There are different blade options depending on the knife model you are custom building. Many knives will have different powder coating finish options while other models may even offer the ability to choose between a plain blade and a partially serrated option. Once the blade has been selected, the next option will be to choose a pair of custom handle scales to go with your new knife.

Once you have selected the blade and knife scales that you like, you will have options to complete your custom knife package with a variety of different accessories. With options like sheath systems, ferro rods, and other useful outdoor survival items, we make it easy to put together your own perfect knife package.

Whether you are looking to build your own knife or just spruce up a knife you already have with our custom knife handle scales, we are here to help. All of our handle scales are designed to provide a perfect and comfortable grip with just the right amount of texture.
