A synthesis of Beckerand#39;s trademark ergonomic handle design and a traditionally profiled American Bowie style blade, the Combat Bowie has proven to perform well during extended periods of use with less user fatigue than most other knives in its class. It is a useful performer in a variety of combat and fieldcraft chores.

Do you have a big job that requires a BIG knife? The BK9 Combat Bowie with its 9andquot; blade is ideal for situations where a larger knife is needed and at 21 ounces, it packs a lot of power! Itand#39;s a great knife for camp use and for most any big job bushcraft need.

The specially designed handle provides a sure, comfortable grip to help reduce fatigue. It also features a blunt pommel, lanyard hole and a plain cutting edge.

Includes a versatile Cordura sheath system which features a plastic liner, accessory pouch and a second smaller sheath area for a smaller knife. The smaller knife sheath area also has a plastic liner. The sheath system is designed for belt carry or lashing.

    One of the best

If you’re in the mountains this is a great tool to have. It might seem a bit big but it can do it all. If you want bling or are a steel snob, then you are not going to be a Becker/KaBar fan. If you want a workhorse, this is a good one.

I have to say I am very disappointed with this knife. I went between this and the Ontario SP51 for 2 months. I haven't tested or used it yet. Out of the box it was slightly bent towards the last 1 1\2 - 2 inches of the blade. Plus the grind was off on one side. The handle isn't totally in line with the tang. I have an Esee 5 and though only about 40 more for a 4 inch shorter blade everything about it is great. Straight, handles are lined up, and the grind is even. I wish I got the Ontario, 20 dollars less and .25 in thick.

    Dear Gavin,

Thank you for your honest review. The BK9 you received sounds like an exception to normal Becker Knives' quality. In our experience, the Becker knives are not quite the fit and finish of an ESEE Knife, but they offer a tremendous value working knife. If you have received a sub-par BK9, I'm sure the folks at Ka-Bar will be willing to cover it under warranty. Thank you for your feedback, and your business.
