When it comes to buying a knife, you need to make sure that you're looking at trusted manufacturers. That's part of what makes Condor Knives such a great option. With over two centuries of knife making experience, their team is dedicated to creating high quality knives that are designed and built to perform. We are happy to offer a great selection of these heavy duty knives.
The company that we now know as Condor Tool and Knife is a direct "descendant" of the Gebrüder Weyersberg Company founded in 1787. Originally based out of Solingen, Germany, this company quickly rose to prominence by producing high quality swords, knives, household cutlery, and agricultural tools. They quickly grew into one of the largest blade manufacturers in the world and began to expand their operations outside of Germany.
One of these offshoots was a company called Imacasa in Santa Ana, El Salvador. Imacasa trained some of its original employees in Solingen and used state of the art German manufacturing equipment in its factories. Imascasa was eventually bought by local investors and continues to operate as one of the largest machete and shovel manufacturers. Eventually Imacasa decided to expand their operations by developing a new line of tools and knives aimed at the North American and European markets. This new line was marketed under Condor Tool & Knife and it has continued to be a popular brand ever since.
Generations of experience is part of what makes these knives such a great option. The centuries of history in tool making from Gebrüder Weyersberg to Imacasa to Condor Knife and Tool is part of what makes these knives so reliable. The Condor knives in our shop have been designed with extremely sturdy blades made from high carbon steel. If you need an outdoor knife that can work hard and take an edge well, then any of these knives would be a great choice.
