To address this, the Ridge Line Hatchet features shortened handle scales, leaving a portion of the tang exposed to absorb impact and abuse—dramatically increasing durability where it matters most.

Lessons learned from the WK Twenty 24 Axe showed that ¼″ steel offers superior balance and faster handling, so the Ridge Line Hatchet uses thinner stock instead of the traditional ⅜″ steel commonly found in other axes.
