Description

The Bravo-1.25 hits the sweet spot for a lot of people as an all purpose outdoor knife and is one of the most popular of the Bravo series. It was developed at the request of us some years ago and was an exclusive of ours for period of time.

This knife fills the niche between the Bravo 1 and Bravo 1.5 knives. We have found knives in the 5" blade size to be very practical and quite popular. Due to its blade being in near perfect proportion with the blade geometry and handle, it balances on the index finger making it quite fast and nimble in the hand for a knife of this size. It is a great knife for situations where a medium to large-sized knife is needed and yet is still compact enough to carry easily. The 5" blade is great for bushcraft needs such as batoning, shelter building, small delimbing tasks etc. It is also versatile enough for general field use such as large game field dressing, carcass break-down, and skinning. The blade length seems to hit the sweet spot for many who are looking for a medium to heavy duty knife that is easy to carry in the field.

Whether you are breaking down an elk carcass in Colorado or batoning firewood at camp in The Northwest Territories, the Bravo 1.25 knife will handle the tasks quickly and easily.

Includes a heavy duty leather belt sheath. The unique design of the sheath allows the knife to be carried either low or high vertical or horizontal on the belt.

About CPM 3V Steel

CPM 3V is a high toughness, wear-resistant tool steel made by the Crucible Particle Metallurgy process. The CPM process produces very homogeneous, high quality steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grindability and toughness compared to other steels produced by conventional processes. CPM 3V was designed to provide maximum resistance to breakage and chipping in a high wear-resistance steel. This "super steel" offers impact resistance greater than A2, D2, Cru-Wear, or CPM M4, approaching the levels provided by S7 and other shock resistant grades. CPM 3V is intended to be used at 58/60 HRC in applications where chronic breakage and chipping are encountered in other tool steels, but where the wear properties of a high alloy steel are required. The wear and toughness properties of CPM 3V make it an excellent alternative to shock-resistant steels such as S7 or A9, where they typically wear out too quickly, but where grades such as A2, CruWear, or CPM M4 tend to fail by breaking or chipping. CPM 3V offers the highest impact toughness of any tool steel with this range of wear resistance.
