Nine-inch stropping surfaces handle any blade while performing exceptionally well on convex grinds. Red oak center with two pre-loaded leather stropping surfaces: Black compound (approximately 3000 grit) for coarse work, then Green compound (approximately 5000 grit) for fine polish. Two-step progression sharpens like a pro anywhere. Light enough to forget you're carrying it. Alcohol cleans leather but pulls oils—use saddle soap or mineral oil to maintain suppleness.
