Description
The LT Wright Knives Bushcrafter HC is a purpose-built outdoor fixed blade designed around performance, field serviceability, comfort, and value. Handmade in Ohio, this proven bushcraft design delivers the practical features needed for carving, fire preparation, camp work, and everyday use in the field without adding unnecessary weight or bulk.
The 3.6-inch spear-point blade is crafted from 3/32-inch 1075 high-carbon steel and features a high saber grind with a matte finish. The thin blade stock provides excellent slicing and carving performance, while 1075 steel offers dependable toughness and can be sharpened easily with simple field equipment. LT Wright’s two-step patina helps reduce corrosion concerns, though regular cleaning and oiling are still recommended with any carbon-steel blade.
The spear-point profile and rounded butt expand the knife’s versatility, making it useful for drilling fire boards and handling other controlled bushcraft tasks. A smooth single-finger groove, barrel-shaped handle, and slightly tapered front scales allow the knife to remain comfortable through multiple grips while providing added control when choking up for detailed work.
Black Canvas Micarta handle scales give this version a clean, rugged appearance with dependable grip in wet or dry conditions. The scales are secured with fisheye hardware, marine-grade epoxy, and an alloy-lined lanyard tube. The epoxy also seals the scales against the tang, helping reduce areas where moisture and corrosion could develop.
Measuring approximately 8.25 inches overall with a 3.625-inch cutting edge, the Bushcrafter HC provides enough blade for the majority of common field tasks while remaining lightweight and easy to carry. It includes a handmade JRE leather sheath with a removable dangler, fire-steel loop, reinforced double stitching, and eyelets for adding extra attachments.
Backed by LT Wright’s lifetime guarantee and built by skilled American craftsmen, the Bushcrafter HC offers proven design, practical materials, and excellent field performance in a dependable, value-focused bushcraft knife.
