Description
The Very Good Knife Company Tradition Jr. is a compact fixed blade built around a design refined for real-world carry, slicing performance, and everyday utility. Long before the Very Good Knife Company name was marked on the blade, Jacob was developing the Tradition platform with a focus on creating a knife that feels comfortable in hand, carries easily, and cuts exceptionally well.
This version of the Tradition Jr. features a 3.5" AEB-L stainless steel blade with a deep hollow grind designed to get extremely thin behind the edge. Its Nessmuk-inspired blade profile delivers excellent slicing performance while remaining nimble and easy to control for everyday cutting tasks, food prep, utility work, and light outdoor use.
The handle is fitted with Black Canvas Micarta scales paired with Red liners, creating a clean, aggressive look with a sharp contrast between the dark handle and bold liner color. Canvas micarta provides a secure, comfortable grip while maintaining the rugged character expected from a hard-use fixed blade.
At just 7.2" overall and approximately 3.6 ounces, the Tradition Jr. is lightweight and compact enough to carry almost like a folder while still offering the strength and simplicity of a fixed blade. Its slim profile makes it an excellent pocket dropper for anyone looking for a capable fixed blade without unnecessary bulk.
For users who want serious slicing performance, lightweight carry, and a classic black-and-red combination, the Very Good Knife Company Tradition Jr. is an excellent addition to any everyday carry rotation.
