The Machax is the knife that got Ethan Becker started in the knife business 30+ years ago. It is a combination of a World War II Machete and Ethan Beckerand#39;s Kukri design. It is very fast in the hand and really excels at snap cuts due to the angle of the blade to the handle. The end of the blade can be considered an ax head and used for chopping tasks. When you learn the and#39;sweet spotand#39;, it makes a great delimbing and vegetation removal tool. Itand#39;s a great andquot;loppingandquot; tool. You can also choke up on the handle and do fine work such as making fuzz sticks, scraping off bark or sharpening stakes. It makes an excellent draw knife as well. Every outdoorsman should have one of these. It truly is a knife with a thousand and one uses! Another nice feature is that it is very reasonably priced!
The included dangler style sheath is made from ballistic nylon and has a plastic insert for the blade. It is MOLLE compatable and includes an accessories pocket on the front.
