Description
The TOPS Knives RPG, short for Road Pup Goyo, is a compact fixed blade and multi-purpose tool built for riders, campers, and minimalist adventurers who need maximum utility without taking up valuable pack space. Designed by Bernabe Velarde of Big B Leatherworks in collaboration with TOPS owner Leo Espinoza, the RPG was created to handle cutting chores, camp tasks, and unexpected roadside adjustments with one easy-to-carry tool.
The blade is crafted from durable 1095 high-carbon steel and measures just 0.125 inches thick. Its high grind provides excellent slicing performance for food preparation, cordage, carving, and general camp use while maintaining the toughness and ease of sharpening that make 1095 a trusted field steel.
Built directly into the handle is a 1/4-inch hex receiver that accepts standard driver bits, allowing the RPG to function as a compact screwdriver when gear or motorcycle components need a quick adjustment. A rare-earth magnet helps keep the selected bit securely seated during use.
The RPG also includes several practical camp features, including a bottle opener, dedicated ferro rod striker, and a pot-lifting hook positioned along the spine. Each feature is thoughtfully placed to add useful functionality without interfering with the primary cutting edge.
A compact Kydex sheath with Beta Loops provides secure, low-profile belt or pack carry. The sheath also allows the knife to be used as a screwdriver while the blade remains safely covered and includes integrated storage notches for two hex bits.
